Reworked parkour, challenging combat and a new night experience.
PURE NIGHTMARE
The latest addition to my Pure Mod.
PURE NIGHTMARE introduces a new experience for night time gameplay which aims to deliver more ambitious stealth in the open world, intense chases and more dangerous encounters.
GET TOO CLOSE AND YOU’RE DONE FOR…
Stealth is now significantly more viable in the open world. Biter’s have a harder time noticing you in the dark and will no longer instantly swarm the player. I always found this to be quite frustrating whenever I wanted to immerse myself in stealth gameplay. Now, there are far more stealth opportunities- especially on street level. But be warned, special / mutated infected still have their sharp senses…
STAY ALERT.
To remain undetected, you must stay vigilant. Howler icons are now disabled, so keep your eyes peeled and ears close to the wall. Survivor sense now has shorter range, allowing for a greater element of surprise in the dark. In addition, Aiden’s flashlight is now dimmer for added suspense.
IF THEY SEE YOU, RUN.
Chases are now far more intense and chase levels will rise faster. Volatiles enter the chase from Level 1 and their numbers increase with each level.
If a Howler screams at you mid chase, chase progression will rapidly increase.
GROUNDED.
Biter density at night has been decreased which means that chases are far less frustrating on the streets. Aiden now has more room to run from the horde on ground level without being constantly smacked or grabbed.
GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK…
Volatiles are now actively lurking in the open world, on rooftops and the ground.
Finally, nights last longer, matching the same duration as day time.
PURE PARKOUR
Move with Haste
Sprinting, Strafing and Stealth movement is faster. Climb up buildings faster and more efficiently to get straight back into running.
Keep your parkour momentum when performing normal jumps. Soar down zip-lines with greater speed.
Gravity never loses
Experience stronger gravity, less parkour float and more realistic jumping.
BEWARE! Falling from great heights can be unforgiving…don’t forget to roll!
Improved Mechanics and Animations!
Clear larger gaps and chain parkour moves together with the improved Nitro Jump. Scale vertical obstacles with the exciting new Double Jump.
Perform realistic precision jumps with Balance Jump animations. Enjoy improved loop animations for pole, monkey bar and nitro jumps.
Balancing
Bash attack speed decreased to be more controllable.
PURE COMBAT
Villedor Is Dangerous
Enemies are tougher and hit harder.
Find a greater variety of encounters in the open world.
Zones now contain enemies with higher levels.
Timing Is Key
Realistic combat stamina: Aiden will get tired more often. Use parkour attacks to stay in the fight longer!
Realistic dodging: Aiden now stumbles upon performing a quick second dodge.
PURE IMMERSION
A small selection of in-game u.i icons have been disabled for a more immersive experience.
QTE icons have been disabled. E.G: Biter escape prompts and force opening chests. UV bar and Instant escape icons are still visible.
HOLD prompts for grapples and parkour moves have been disabled.
Chase widget has been disabled.
Additional Info
In order to get the best experience with this mod, play on NORMAL difficulty with NORMAL color grading.
Both PROLOGUE and EPILOGUE of the campaign CAN be completed with this mod.
