Keep Staying Human
Brings back the flow and consistency of E3 2018/2019 parkour after the Good Night, Good Luck Update.
The Good Night, Good Luck Update brought some huge improvements to the parkour system, but it ultimately strays further from E3 2019, and makes the movement exaggerated and cartoony, this mod fixes a lot of those issues and makes the parkour very similar to E3 versions, it also brings back features missing from the latest update. (e.g. far jumps after landing on another surface.)
Cause Techland can’t stop secretly removing things, seriously guys?
This does not change animations, you will need a reanimation mod, can be paired with mods that don’t effect parkour parameters.
Rundown of what exactly was changed in this mod;
– Far jumps, double jumps and slide jumps are less exaggerated and floaty; the delay and ‘swoosh’ removed.
– Jumping, walking and running are lower, Dash/afterboost reduced in speed, boost cooldown is virtually non-existent.
– Sliding has been shortened and is similar to DL1, slide/enemy jumps have been reduced in distance.
– Safe landing heights were reduced, grab fails happen more often.
– Wallrunning/swinging has been shortened, reduced but activates quicker/works smoother.
– Survivor sense works faster, has a shortened cooldown and is more distant.
– Stamina cost added back to certain actions (Far/double/slide jumps, wallrunning, etc.)
– Cooldowns and delays between parkour actions have been removed (delays are now a result of the animations themselves)
– Post-processing effects were removed from all actions.
– AI detection range for volitiles and other infected is increased.
Changes apply to both Physical and Assisted parkour modes, though Physical is recommended.
I also recommend playing with motion sickness reduction ‘on’, if you want an experience closer to E3 versions.
