DYING LIGHT PLUS
Looking for a Dying Light 2 experience that mixes a little more realism with some added fun? Well, This semi-overhaul of Dying Light 2’s movement has you covered! With almost every part of the movement being touched on at least somewhat. Oh, enemy health at higher levels was also heavily adjusted so that it feels more real.
Gameplay
This mod changes only a few gameplay mechanics.
– Survivor sense covers a little over double the distance it used to.
– Survivor sense icons and AI take longer to fade away.
– Survivor sense detects AI at exactly double the distance.
– Health naturally heals up to 50%.
– Max medkit now heals 500 instead of 250. (I think)
– Campfires heal 10% of max health per second.
– Natural Health regen speed cut in half to make up for extra healing.
– All co-op progression multipliers have been turned off.
– Parkour music starts sooner.
Movement
This mod also makes MANY changes to how the player moves around the world.
– The wall run is fast, and gains a little extra distance.
– Tic Tac last’s about 1.25 seconds instead of 1.5 to make it feel more real.
– Swimming is a bit faster.
– You can now sprint while swimming.
– The sprint is a little bit faster.
– Aiden’s normal running speed has increased a tiny bit.
– Crouch walk and strafe speed increased slightly
– Find things to grapple to easier!
– Grappling hook pull uses half the stamina.
– Far Jump also sends you a little higher.
– Afterboost regens twice as much stamina.
– Afterboost has a slightly longer input window.
– Can perform 4 Tic Tac’s instead of 2.
– Paraglider steering is a bit easier
– Paraglider boost send you quite a bit further.
– Paraglider costs half the stamina
– Active landing will activate automatically depending on the skills level.
Combat
So, yeah! Some changes for the combat have also been made.
– Drop Takedown can be initiated from further.
– Drop Takedown can be initiated from higher.
– Stomp finisher can be executed from slightly further.
Optional
I also wanted to make lower rarity weapons much more viable even at low levels, and make higher rarity weapons seem like the badass zombie lawnmowers that they are. So, I capped all enemies health at higher levels so that all weapons were very viable.
At higher levels, normal biters should only take about 1-2 hits to kill no matter the rarity.
So, we’ll go over all the health caps for all enemies.
No, bosses do not have health caps applied.
ALL Biter health caps at 200.
Viral health caps 500.
Volatile health caps at 4000.
Bolter health caps at 400.
Banshee health caps at 2000.
Charger health caps at 2000.
Spitter health caps at 1500.
Goon health caps at 5000.
Demolisher health caps at 7000.
Suicider health caps at 700.
And all human enemies health caps between 700 and 800.
The changes to health were mostly made because I really like the style of lower rarity weapons, and think they fit the world really well, and I was upset that using them at high levels was basically pointless.
So! I fixed it, now, higher rarity weapons are incredibly powerful as they should be, and lower rarity weapons are still good!
