The game takes place 15 years after the first game, which is a massive time gap. This means that the world and the infected that now have full control over it will be very different than before. Speaking of gameplay, we got to see a gameplay demo for Dying Light 2 which was almost half an hour long. This gameplay demo showed us that most of the great mechanics that we loved about the original will indeed be returning in Dying Light 2, as well as a lot of cool new mechanics. One of these is the infection stage mechanic which makes the zombies increasingly stronger for as long as they’re infected.

As for the Dying Light 2 review for the multiplayer, we now know that players will have to host their own co-op games.
