Challenging Chases
Chases started by howlers are now much more challenging.
All chase levels
– when spotted by virals that are near you, the chase level bar will gain 4 points every second.
– When spotted by virals that are far from you, the chase level bar will gain 2 points every second.
– When spotted by a howler, the chase level bar will gain 1 point every second both when nearby and from 10 meters away.
– When spotted by a howler, and you make the howler scream, it will add 3 points every second until the screaming stops.
– When player is out of sight during the chase, new volatiles will start spawning after 5 seconds.
Level 1
– Amount of virals that will be chasing you on level 1 will be between 3 to 5 virals.
– High intensity level has been increased and has a faster cooldown to re-activate.
– If the player stays on the streets for 7 seconds, high intensity chase will begin.
– After leaving the streets, if high intensity has been activated it will stay active for another 7 seconds.
– In high intensity, two virals will spawn simultaneously instead of one.
– Chase level will increase to the next level after 150 points are accumulated.
– Chase will end if the player is out of sight for 20 seconds.
– Player needs to stay at a safe zone or UV light for 8 seconds to end a chase.
Level 2
– Amount of virals that will be chasing you on level 2 will be between 6 to 8 virals.
– Further increase to high intensity level and has a faster cooldown to re-activate.
– If the player stays on the streets for 6 seconds, high intensity chase will begin.
– After leaving the streets, if high intensity has been activated it will stay active for another 8 seconds.
– In high intensity, two virals will spawn simultaneously instead of one.
– Chase level will increase to the next level after 175 points are accumulated.
– Chase will end if the player is out of sight for 25 seconds.
– Player needs to stay at a safe zone or UV light for 8 seconds to end a chase.
Level 3
– Amount of virals that will be chasing you on level 2 will be between 9 to 12 virals.
– Two volatiles can show up during the chase at this point.
– Further increase to high intensity level and has a faster cooldown to re-activate.
– If the player stays on the streets for 5 seconds, high intensity chase will begin.
– After leaving the streets, if high intensity has been activated it will stay active for another 10 seconds.
– In high intensity, three virals will spawn simultaneously instead of two.
– Chase level will increase to the next level after 200 points are accumulated.
– Chase will end if the player is out of sight for 25 seconds.
– Player needs to stay at a safe zone or UV light for 10 seconds to end a chase.
Level 4
– Amount of virals that will be chasing you on level 2 will be between 10 to 15 virals.
– 4 volatiles will be actively chasing at all time, up to 8 volaties.
– Further increase to high intensity level (120 seconds) and has a faster cooldown (5 seconds) to re-activate.
– If the player stays on the streets for 10 seconds, high intensity chase will begin.
– After leaving the streets, if high intensity has been activated it will stay active for another 10 seconds.
– In high intensity, four virals will spawn simultaneously instead of three.
– Chase does not end until you find safety.
– Player needs to stay at a safe zone or UV light for 15 seconds to end a chase.
Instructions
Once downloaded, unzip the contents and you should see a data2.pak file. Copy this file to \…\Steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light 2\ph\source folder. If you have other mods you can simply rename data2.pak to dataX.pak (whatever number is next for you).
