Beautiful Sunrays (bruh)
SUN RAYS WONT WORK ON DIRECTx12, USE DIRECTx11 INSTEAD
Apparently some or many people aren’t experiencing the sunrays in the retail game, and somehow they are experiencing it in DevTools and CustomMaps, It’s Techland’s problem from the beginning to leave the sunrays unused in their engine, and yeah I don’t have a fix at the moment.
This is an overhaul that makes the weather system better, or more specifically…. SUNRAYS
It adds fog and changes its height and distance and it is more involved in clear weathers, so it looks like the 2021 demo, check the video to know more, and try the mod itself to experience the Sunrays.
It also makes the nights more darker and reduces the skybox light emissions, and makes storms more stormy(more wind).
SOMETIMES THE SKY AND SUNRAYS AND THE SUN MIGHT LOOK WEIRD FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS DURING THE TRANSITION BETWEEN THE WEATHERS, SO THE MOD IS NOT PERFECT, THE REASON FOR THIS IS BECAUSE THE SUN IS EMBEDDED INTO THE SKYBOX INSTEAD OF BEING A CONTINEOUSLY MOVING OBJECT LIKE IN DL1.
IMPORTANT:
Play on directx11, because the beautiful sunrays wont be beautiful (not work correctly) on directx12 because of Techland for some reason.
Even though directx11 makes the game’s FPS look not so smooth, its the only way to make the Sunrays work.
