More and Better Zombie Loot
This mod improves the chances of important and valuable loot drop rate from zombies ONLY. It also increases the loot pool AND the amount of loot being dropped.
Farming for trophies and other important valuable items in Dying Light 2 can be a bit grindy and probably make the game a bit boring sometimes. This mod helps mitigate that issue by improving the chances and amount of loot being dropped by ZOMBIES (and plants and bees) in the game.
What does this mod do?
New (v6):
Mutation samples min and max amount DOUBLED!
New (v5):
UVShrooms and beehives now grant 1 to 3 loot but PICKABLE FLOWERS AND PLANTS HOWEVER CAN’T seem to work (due to TOO many people asking why loot from those still give only one when the title clearly says MORE AND BETTER “ZOMBIE” LOOT! hahaha)
More trophies (1 to 3) drop from zombies (fixed)
Old (v4 and earlier):
15% to 33% more chance for rare loot to drop (all drops are affected including cash, valuable items, trophies, and samples)
More loot is also being dropped as the value is changed from between 0 to 1 to between 1 to 3
Common infected loot has been changed to provide more and better crafting materials (this includes: chamomile, lavender, poppy, and alcohol)
Not-so-special infected will also have a chance to drop higher-tier loot (ex. Howlers dropping rare trophies)
Chances of finding empty ZOMBIES have been reduced to 25%
THIS DOES NOT IMPROVE HUMAN DROPS! OR ANY OTHER DROPS!
THERE SEEMS TO BE A BUG WHERE ALREADY DEAD HUMANS LYING ON THE GROUND (like the ones impaled by spears) WILL NEVER GIVE ANY LOOT.
This mod will work on any difficulty level
This mod has been made using a game version of 1.9.0 Dying Light 2: Stay Human Ultimate Edition (if you are playing on a different version of the game I CAN’T guarantee that this mod will work for you)
If this mod doesn’t seem to work for you please let me know, I may be able to fix your issue.
How do I install this mod?
Extract the data3.pak into \Dying Light 2\ph\source\, (you should see other dataX.paks on the same folder)
If you already have a data3.pak in there, rename this .pak to data3.pak or a number one higher than the lowest one used, up to data7.pak. If all those numbers are already taken, use 7-ZIP or WinRAR to merge your mods. (You can search for guides online on how to combine Dying Light 2 mod, I will NOT discuss them here. Sorry)
