Dying Light 1 was an amazingly unique game filled with all sorts of horrific zombies for players to avoid and sometimes fight. Now that the sequel has been announced, we can expect Dying Light 2 zombies to chase us down to the ends of the Earth as well. Dying Light 2 zombies, known as the infected in game, will be quite similar to ones in Dying Light 1. But it has been confirmed that there will be some huge changes as well which will be quite noticeable.

One of the biggest changes coming to the Dying Light 2 zombies is the infected life cycle mechanic. The infected life cycle will arguably be the most noticeable change of all. What this mechanic does is add a stage of infection feature to the Dying Light 2 zombies. Zombies in the game will become ‘’more infected’’ over the course of their infection. What this means is that they’ll likely get stronger and stronger for as long as they’re infected and aren’t killed off.

One thing that we don’t know about though is whether or not Dying Light 2 will have Be The Zombie. It was a great mode in Dying Light 1 and fans are really hoping that Dying Light 2 has Be The Zombie mode as well. This mode allowed users to play as one of the zombies and hunt down survivors. It is one of the many things unique about Dying Light 1 which make it fun and it would be a huge wasted opportunity if the developers don’t add the mode to the sequel. We’ll likely learn whether or not we’ll see Be The Zombie mode in Dying Light 2 sometime in the future or in one of the gameplay trailers. For now, we just have to wait until we can see what Dying Light 2 has in store for us.
